Hotel Kong Arthur is located in the hear of the Copenhagen. The central location allows guests enjoy the close proximity of most city's attraction such as Round Tower, Strøget, Tivoli. The Hotel is a part of Brøchner Hotels which is family-run business. At the beginning it was only 2 buildings which were family's property, later it was extended and gradually renovated. Over the years, Hotel Kong Arthur was taken from 50 to 150 room; from 2 to 4 stars boutique hotel. The initial idea was to keep the building's history and architecture together with the spirit. The original building was an old apprentices house which was later turned into the hotel. 

This boutique hotel currently offers accommodation in 3 different categories; standard rooms, superior rooms and suites. It targets individual needs of each guest and try to provide cozy atmosphere so everyone feels welcome and desires to come back again. According to the owner, Kirsten Brøchner, the definition of boutique hotel is following:

"Boutique hotel is not standardized, it is individual. You care for small details and has a bit of personality. It has some edge of some kind. "

Hotel offers free buffet breakfast which serves variety of danish pastries, health section with fruits and cereals, fresh squeezed juices and many more. The complimentary breakfast is included in a room rate as well as free access to the wellness area called Ni'mat Spa (refer to different entry on the blog).






The hotel is also known for its green sustainable program. They were named the first carbon-neutral hotel chain in the world. The main philosophy is not only caring for guest, each other, employees but also the surrounding. Different ways include cooking for homeless people and helping the environment. The initial idea was to be neutral, to involve guest in the program and extend the ideas to the world of hospitality. The green program also included rent of carbon-neutral bikes as well as saving cost on laundry by more than 20%.

The main focus is not only on business travelers but also on couples and families traveling with children. The rooms are designed in historical way with placing an emphasize on tradition and the originality of the building. Most of the furniture is wooden with exception of bathrooms which features showers or bathtub. Private free parking is available nearby the hotel.

Guests can choose from variety of dining options which include Italian restaurant La Rocca, Spanish tapas and Sticks'n'Sushi.
